Question by Dee Dee: How do I say "sex sells" or the "sex image sells" in the paper appropriately?

I'm writing a paper about a lingerie business. I want to state that Victoria's Secret uses sexually attractive models to endorse lingerie, which leads to a lot of success because sex sells.

What are better words to replace "sex sells" or the "sex image sells" in the paper?

"Sex sells" is the classic phrase. People have been using it for decades to refer to the phenomenon about which you're writing. So I'm not sure I'd replace it.

It's an interesting writing problem, though - the entire point of lingerie is to be sexy, so it's not like using sexually attractive models to sell soft drinks, which are unrelated to sex. It's actually the most reasonable way to sell this particular product. Which is, after all, about sex.

Your argument is kind of like saying, a restaurant makes food look tasty in advertisements, and that leads to a lot of success. It's just the reasonable thing to do in that particular business.
